Harmony Kendall grew up in the small southern California town of Sunnydale: the now
collapsed town that once held a major Hellmouth. In high school she was a key member
of the infamous "Cordettes" - Cordelia Chase's crew of snobby, rich, and obnoxiously
popular girls. After being bitten by a vampire in the battle against Mayor Wilkins on
their graduation day, Harmony was thought dead. However, she soon reemerged in
Sunnydale as a vampire. Ditzy as ever, she clung onto Spike as his on again, off again
girlfriend. Together they unsuccessfully tried to kill the Slayer.
After failing as an evildoer in Sunnydale, she fled to Los Angeles and begged Angel and Cordelia to help her control her vampire urges. Unable to control her evil, she handed Angel and company off to a vampire cult and once again fled back to Sunnydale after a brief stay in Mexico. There she amassed her own gang and again failed to kill the Slayer and disappeared. Once Angel assumed control of Wolfram & Hart, Harmony popped back into his life as his secretary, uhm, personal assistant, hand picked by Wesley as a familiar face to ease Angel into his new role. Keeping Angel's appointment book and blood needs in check, Harmony is a valued office asset. She has her ear to the office gossip and is always on hand to give her unique perspective on things. She even stays off of human blood while working for Angel and is happy to help the gang when the occasional demon muscle is needed. Yet Harmony's overall weakness, one that stems all the way back to her human days back in Sunnydale, is being accepted and included in the power circle. As Angel and his team move towards their final plan to thwart the Circle of the Black Thorn, they shut Harmony out of their plans and since she has no moral compass or soul to guide her, she is easily lured in by Hamilton, the liaison to the Senior Partners, in revealing Angel’s plan to him. When Angel confronts Harm over her betrayal, she confesses but Angel explains he already knew she would fail him. He fires her but gives her a referral and Harmony quickly leaves W&H before the final battle begins. Mercedes McNab (Harmony)
