However, the priests are not intimidated by her tone and make it very clear what they think of both her and her reign. In demonstration of their own power of The Covenant, they present the Royal princess with a gift, a silver platter holding the disembodied head of her friend, Krevlorneswath of the Deathwok Clan.

In gratitude for his help, Darla drains the young man telling him that, "Life is full of surprises." "Oh, Angel! I know that I'm a Slayer and you a vampire - and it would be impossible for us to be together, but!" "Oh, I love you so much I almost forgot to brood!" "And just because I sent you to hell that one time doesn't mean that we can't just be friends." "Kiss me." "Bite me!"

Wesley Stalks Fred at the Hyperion - Cordelia's latest vision involves Billy, a young man Angel rescued from a hell dimension in order to save her from the physical visions Wolfram & Hart were sending her. Unfortunately, Wesley becomes infected when analyzing Billy's blood and turns his vicious impulses towards Fred. He alerts her to his change in demeanor by backhanding her across the face and then stalks her through the hotel, axe in hand. Wesley taunts Fred as he hunts her, blaming her for making him act this way.
"If ever one character has gone from beginning to end of the spectrum it is certainly Wesley. And what makes Wesley such a tangible individual, not only by the actor [Denisof] who portrays him, is the depth at which he is written. In this episode, the true evil essence that runs beneath every man is brought to the surface and Wesley exudes that essence upon Fred. He not only attacks but taunts her; the emotional and psychological torture he expounds shows us an evil we don't want to know better."
~ CoA Staff member, Kristy Bratton

Angel and Cordelia turn in surprise to see Lilah slowly lowering her gun, refusing to be a victim herself any more.
"That was one of my favorites. I mean, I loved it and when I read the ending that Lilah was the hero, she killed Billy. I was like, 'Whoa - All right!' Complexities of the human soul. I don't think anyone expected Lilah to kill him. So that was the most defining moment for Lilah, I think." ~ VIP Comment: Actress, Stephanie Romanov

"The biggest cliff-hanger before the longest hiatus ever. Seeing Holtz jump into the Quor'toth with Angel's son was like the ultimate defeat for Angel. He lost the one person he loved more than anything in his entire, long life. Simply amazing."

Anger flows from him in waves as he vows to kill Wesley for what he has done.
"A heart-breaking scene. All seemed well until Angel began to suffocate the hospitalised Wesley with his own pillow screaming, 'You're dead!' Pure intensity by David Boreanaz."
~ CoA Staff Member, Jeff Ritchie

They engage in hand-to-hand combat, Connor proving to be a very quick and skilled fighter but Angel's experience gives him the upper hand eventually until he releases Connor allowing him to escape into the L.A. sunlight where Angel can’t follow.
"Connor unleashes a full attack on everyone with crazy martial arts and a stake shooting weapon. Filmed in a Matrix-style slow motion, this scene was great because of both Connor's return, and the amount of ass he kicked."

Lilah appears offering that the files have information on every scheme, big and small. He reaches into a file and removes her contract, telling her she has 'suffered enough' as he sets it on fire. The contract burns up but nothing happens. Lilah tells him to look back in the cabinet. The contract is there again. Moved, she says, "It means something that you tried."
"So touching. After weeks of watching the new improved rough tough Wesley, we were treated to a small glimpse of the old sensitive Wes. That one act proving that although he and Lilah were sworn enemies, he had developed feelings for her that he had done his best to hide."

#4 Conviction ~ Season 5, Episode 1, Act 4:Scene6
Spike Returns - After Angel opens a mysterious package, an amulet -- eerily similar to the one that played a key role in the Apocalypse of Sunnydale which helped Buffy save the world -- falls to the floor unleashing a mystical whirlwind in Angel’s office that forms into the screaming shape of Spike to everyone’s shock, who had burned to a heroic, dusty death while wearing it in Sunnydale.
"We all knew it was coming but it was still an amazing moment to see Spike dramatically un-dust in Angel's office. Add to that the team's reaction, especially Harm's, 'Blondie Bear?' and it perfectly illustrated why Joss is the master of mixing disparate tones and genres into something wonderful to watch."
