BEST HANDSHAKE:
Andy Hallett
, Whoa! Killer! And nobody belts it better than he, except of course, Patti ... Andy Hallett: “First off, I love you for just saying that! I’m having the time of my life. The time-of-my-life! I love it, I love it, I love every minute of it. Every time they inform me of a new story line which they just have of the next four or five up-coming episodes. It’s so much more exciting and they’re constantly putting me in a little bit more so I love it! I love every second of it!”

MOST POPULAR VIP:
James Marsters! It seems everywhere Spikey went, so did all the fans! Several times he was so crowded with photo and autograph seeking fans that he had to hide a few times! I don't blame him, but to the fans that managed to get to him, James was sweet and he gave plenty of autographs. At the end of the night, he played and sang, but the best were James' antics on stage-while playing guitar, accepting the check, you name it! He played for the crowd and had a great time. I was thankful for the zoom lens and for all you fans . .there will be plenty of Spike pics for all!!

SWEETEST AWARD:
Alexis Denisof! Fans crowded this patient and polite man who seemed a bit unprepared with the anxiousness of his fans! (I know cuz I was one of 'em!) I waited in the small crowd that gathered around him, but he asked me to wait a bit while he took a pic with a young girl who was nearly close to tears to be sooo very close to one of her favorite characters. I waited patiently and I took a quick pic with him. He was so patient and so sweet. He thanked ME for coming to see him! Later, once the crowd had abated because everyone had gone to see James play, we talked for a few minutes. He asked about my camera and I was happy to answer.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE:
The most challenging photo of the night was for Christian Kane. Although I don't think I ever got one that did justice to his handsome face! Fans--his eyes are quiet astonishing. He wore a light blue t-shirt and jeans. Once he came out of the VIP area he was immediately bombarded by the fans, especially the ladies. I must say, I followed those eyes, but I just couldn't get the right pic! Sorry! I didn't see much of him on the dance floor, but once the check was presented he popped out and posed for pics with everyone else on stage.

There were comments grabbed by Bronzers as well as VIP’s when we cornered a few in the shadows. ED1_faith attended her first PBP and seemed a bit overwhelmed but was soaking it all up and just happy to be there. Xanders Girl commented on how much fun she was having, “A lot of fun! I finally get to meet all the people I harass online everyday (laugh). They told me they always look at my sites and they really enjoy seeing if I’m right or wrong or if I’m really close.” Her sites are, Slayer Sixth Sense [Buffy] and Beautiful Stranger [ANGEL]. We ran into two CoA Citizens, CatsClaw and wolfdog during the night as they were spotted among the fold and getting in the mix! J. August Richards was quite the funny guy when each time he was presented with an Angel poster his picture was not included in, he would scurry away to draw himself in before returning to complete the signing! Andy Hallett was just happy to be there and ate up all the attention with a ton of fun and a few high notes! Christian Kane and Stephanie Romanov were horsing around for the crowd as Chris would pick her up in his arms and make romantic gestures. And how could we not comment on David Greenwalt wearing the ‘Joss is a Hottie’ baseball cap!!

"People really, really like the show!" Well, duh, David!

David Greenwalt: “You know I've had the most fun of my life in the last five years with Joss, it’s just been incredible. It’s like playing tennis with a guy who’s a pro, who will really hit that ball back hard and good. And every day it’s something, one day we’re doing a werewolf, one day we’re doing a plague, one day we’re doing the earth has opened up and swallowed you. It’s just something great and new everyday. And just today I recorded a song that I wrote, Joss helped me, but I wrote it for Christian Kane. He’s going to sing it in episode 19 and it’s really, really exciting. The song is called LA by the way.” “Do you feel like a kid in a candy shop still?” “I really do! Sometimes I get really tired and this being recorded at the Posting Board Party, and I’ve never been to one before, and I’m very, very excited. It’s really giving me a lot of energy and making me want to go back and face those 70-hour weeks! The people really, really like the show! They like the writing and they are incredibly supportive and it’s pretty fantastic. I mean we’re not stars, we’re writers so we don’t get this kind of attention. (laugh) It would probably destroy us if we got this all the time but it’s really good to have it once a year like this! It’s great! Thank you for having your site, that’s terrific.”

We stopped by the CoA camp to get a couple of views on the evening. Nikka: “So far we’re having fun. We all had at least one drink and we’re just sitting around waiting for [Four Star Mary] to start.” Seeker: “It’s gonna be a great night and I can say unequivocally that I will not be doing the Snoopy Dance!” (laugh) Four Star Mary, a familiar to Buffy fans for their music that has been featured on the show over the years, was the headliner for the evening! A surprise guest who was none other than James Marsters appeared with electric guitar in hand! Not only did they kick it with classic FSM Buffy hits such as Pain, but they also sang an original song penned by James himself! Spike the rock star was in all his glory and the girls in the crowd screamed appropriate responses to his wiggles, winks and smiles! This was a major gig for James, but in no way was he ‘scared chip-less’ by this audience, everyone loved it!

There were even a few vamps in make-up running around showing fans what it's really like to be up close and personal with the un-dead thanks to the talents of Todd McIntosh and Dayne Johnson! Todd told us what was the most fun for him this season on Buffy, Todd McIntosh: “You know, this season we have really been a character driven season. Not a lot of demons, not a lot of stuff but we did have the one that was sort of like a lava creature in black light. That was a really interesting make-up to do. Very, very difficult to keep it -- because we had to keep the make-up in black light situations in order to see how I was painting it. Then use the black lights on the set to make it glow. So that one and the one I call the Jolly Green giant, the big green Troll, he was really fun! He was a great, great character.”

Can you imagine anyone ignoring this guy?!

While Dayne gives his talents to ANGEL he’s had the most fun with our favorite Karaoke Demon! Dayne Johnson: “Well as the make-up artist point of view, I think one of my favorite characters is The Host character, Andy Hallett’s character. I think tonight everybody got to see what he really looks like because most of the fans don’t know what he looks like. So he got to sing and that was great and everybody like bombarded him as soon as it was over. When he first got here he just walked past everyone but now he can’t walk past anyone! As far as the show’s concerned, I think that’s one of my favorite episodes, which was episode 13 that was just showed a couple weeks ago. But now we have, my understanding – I don’t have any scripts yet but, they allowed us three episodes where there’s going to be something completely different that the fans are really going to look forward to. So there’s something really fun coming up for Angel!” With one last song from FSM the night closed on another year ringing in the midnight hour, literally, and all good little Bronzers and Vamps headed out into the LA night! Truly an amazing event, not to be missed by any B/A fan who loves the shows and appreciates all the hard work, dedication, creativity and amazing talent from all forces! This is their night to shine and for the fans to say thank you. Peeps, start saving now, next February will be here before you know it!

The Party’s over, that’s our story and we’re sticking to it! We certainly hope this re-cap brings you as close to being there as best we can!
